Victorian Amethyst Ring in Solid 14k Gold

This purple iconoclast is both rare and gorgeous. Uncommon to see a stone of this size, with this low of a profile, and very uncommon to see this shape of stone in a Victorian ring. The amethyst is an extremely gorgeous specimen and is both deep and bright with a ton of sparkle, and set in a quintessentially antique coronet-style setting.

This would be an outstanding alternative engagement ring, or gift, for any amethyst or vintage jewelry lover. The ring shank is very solid and much thicker than a lot of Victorian jewelry, not showing the wear of its 110 plus years. The stone is in pristine condition. Either this ring was rarely worn, or the stone is a replacement (as is more often the case than not in pieces of this age). We think it is possible that this ring was rarely worn, as the whole piece is in such perfect condition.

Hidden behind the stone, the ring is decorated with heart embellishments on the under-gallery, and we find this to be the most romantic detail of all. This would be a perfect gift for your love, especially if she happens to be February-born (making amethyst her birthstone).

Currently a size 5 but easily sizable. Contact us to talk about options!

Don't hesitate to reach out for additional pics or video or any other information you'd like to help you make a purchase decision 💜.
